Empowerment Circles
Each
woman who completes the Woman Within®
Training Weekend has the option to participate in a support group referred
to as an Empowerment Circle (E-circle) to learn greater emotional
self-awareness and communication skills. Simply being seen, heard and
trusted by a circle of women as we speak our joys and our sorrows can
nourish our spirits and strengthen our hearts.
To
become part of an E-circle in the IN Our Circle community, a woman must
first go through an E-circle program. This program includes skills and
exercises that are designed to prepare women to be part of a circle in a
safe, open and honest way. There are choices offered throughout the
community:

Guided
E-circle: In many areas of the IN Our Circle community, we are able
to offer E-circle programs that are guided by women in the community
who have been trained and/or mentored on how to guide an E-circle.
Guided E-circle programs may include 8 - 10 weekly meetings or a single
intensive weekend. The fee for a guided E-circle is $110.

Following
an E-circle program, many circles choose to continue meeting on
their own and some have continued for years. Other ongoing circles
have been created in the IN Our Circle community, including
mixed-gender circles and special circles such as 'Whatever It Takes'
for women. |
